  • Good Evening Koh Samui Point:

I am in need of your help and local resources. I am flying in from Kuala Lumpur on March 21, 2016 (arrive in Koh Samui at 18:25) and have to be on Koh Phangan that same night as I am in a wedding party and we have events occurring the morning of March 22, 2016.

I believe I will miss all available ferries to Koh Phangan, so I was wondering if there was a local travel agency or fisherman or anyone with a boat at Fisherman’s Village/Bophut/From the Airport who I could hire at a reasonable rate to take me to Koh Phangan that night?

Is this possible? I am running out of options and changing my flights looks to be very expensive and a big hassle!

Please let me know at your earliest convenience.

    Thank you so very much!

    Reid

    • Hi Reid,

We often use the website ’12Go’ to find ferry tickets out to the other islands: https://12go.asia/?x=holidaypoint

It appears that the last ferry is at 4.30pm on the day you arrive. I suspect that many ferries don’t make the trip in the dark. Not sure what time the wedding festivities start the next morning, but there is a ferry at 8am on the 22nd which will get you in to Koh Phangan at 8.30am.

Perhaps you could contact one of the private speedboat charter services which may be able to take you over after dark, but these can be costly for a single person trip. I can’t attest to the reliability of their service, but here are two that I found after a quick search online: http://www.samuiboatcharter.com/destination/koh-phangan.html OR http://www.100degreeseast.com/private-speed-boat-charter.php#koh-phangan

All the best for your trip to Koh Samui.

      Regards,
      Jess
